DJ Profile Biography

Born in East London in 1961, my love of soul music started when my uncle gave me my first album “ This Is Soul “ on Atlantic Records. After a few years playing school discos I got my first residency age 15 at The Seahorse in Leysdown, here I was cooking basket meals by day and playing soul music by night. Age 21. I was lucky enough to be given the keys to a new club “Stage 3”, here I stayed 1979-1984.

I hosted some amazing DJs in my time at Stage 3, Chris Hill, Robbie Vincent , Dr. Bob Jones along with live music from the original Heatwave, Incognito, Light of the World and more. From Stage 3 ,and for the next 30 years my career moved to working at sea on ships. Back on shore for the last few years, I have enjoyed co-creating “Boogie Night Productions “ putting on events that combine my love of music and film, amazingly sharing this new experience to the same crowd that supported me back in my days at “Stage 3”.
